I wrote this as an essay several years ago, and was given the oppertunity to publish it online. An oppertunity I missed. Oh, for the preview picture, I chose it to illustrate a point as per usual I got it from an open source site.

Very interesting analysis (and even critique) of how Christianity has changed cultures down through the centuries. But then, as Neil Gaiman pointed out, "Magic answers *need*." And despite all the protestations of almost every Christian, humans NEED magic, in one form or another... which is why the Good Neighbors are still around, if somehow different.
